Classic Car Restoration
My 1960 Ford F100
In early 2024, I started working on a beat-up rusted out 1960 Ford F100. I had no idea what I was doing, but I was excited to figure it out. It's an ongoing project that will take months to repair it enough to pass inspection and get it on the road.
As someone who has always held a deep love for classic cars, I have long dreamed of buying and restoring a vintage vehicle. That dream recently came true when I acquired a 1960 Ford F100 short bed Flareside pickup with a inline 223 6 cylinder engine. As someone with no previous experience working on cars, this is certainly a difficult undertaking, but one which i feel will be well worth it in the end.
My Restoration Journey
My Summer Job Fixing Classic Cars
In the summer of 2024, I worked at a classic car repair shop fixing engines, brakes, and other moving parts on client's cars. The owners of the shop took me under their wing to show me the ins and outs of fixing up old cars. Vehicles I worked on over the summer included a 1957 Corvette, 1973 Chevelle, and a 1967 Nomad. This experience was invaluable, as I'm able to apply my learnings on my own fixer upper.
